Back 2 school

My babies went back to school today. Briggs went to grade 2 mrs. Snidles class and Nyla kindergarten. Mrs. Christies class. Both of them were super excited to go. Both wore there new clothes had waffles for breakfast. I loved taking them to school and walking hand in hand to there classroom. Weeks have been spent in anticipation for this day. Schools supplies packed and repacked in their backpacks a thousand times, clothes tried on a whole bunch of times. Our back to school time capsule done on Monday for FHE and father's blessings last night. Briggs was promised if he would work hard he would do well in school and he would be friends with those that needed friends and an example to them. He sat pretty reverent for his but was great for everyone elses. Nyla was told that she would bring peace and a great helper to her teacher at school and that she would remember the things that she would learn. She also would expand her circle of friends. She sat with her arms folded and eyes closed the whole prayer. Benson really impressed me. I think he sensed that this would be really important for him. He crawled up on to the chair and folded his arms and closed his eyes for a lot of the prayer. It really melted my heart. He was promised that he would make significant gains in his speech and that he would make some new friends. He was also promised that his Helpers would know how to work with him, and that we would be able to find out what really was going on with his lack of speech. I am so proud Of my kids. I love them tones. And while I will miss them I know that this is where they need to be.

Sunday maddness

Every Sunday I get 4 kids plus myself ready for church. Most Sunday's it is me rushing around gathering everyone. Most of the time I make it to church barely before it starts. And then I wrestle them trying to teach reverence. Some days we make it, some days not so much! The irony of it all is I can get the kids ready for school and other things that start a lot earlier. Maybe they will learn that church is just as important as the park or swimming!
